Congratulations!. You just experienced and overcame the fear of using acrylics to create bodies of water. There is a learning curve to the acrylic mediums and you are well on your way with a new found confidence. Confidence will take you far in this hobby. Furthermore, Acrylic Mediums are easily fixed with another layer - upon another layer. The compatibility of acrylic paint and gloss mediums is also quite remarkable. Respectively, I am impressed that you kept at it and sanded down and repainted the surface - and did not give up. This is how the game works as it leads to a new found success. It took me about eight layers to finally get my water to the way I liked it over a period of several months. P.S. Cleaning it only takes a gentle wipe with a damp cotton cloth and it looks brand new again! Cheers ~ Boomer. 👍😉

Thanks for sharing. Very helpful. While watching, a few notions came to mind: A little primer on the housings might help the acrylic from chipping as easily when attaching the LED to them. Lay the corner of a small piece of *whatever tape over the lens before cutting them to avoid popping off into the netherworld; and cuts. Maybe change the steps by first painting the housings before drilling to save yourself from having to un-paint the insides? Also drill and test-fit the light housings before painting and wiring them so you only have to pull the wires once. Anywho. Thanks again for sharing!
